Whatever happens after life | Ghost Wars

Описание: This series confuses the fuck out of me. I watched it back in 2017 when it came out and for some reason it stayed on my mind and I always wanted to make a video on this. The thing is, it's not a good series. When I rewatched it for the purpose of making this video, I was devastated how bad it was. The CGI looks so bad for a Netflix series from 2017, there is at least one jumpscare per episode (after a while they become absolutely predictable) and the acting (something I rarely comment on), especially that of Avan Jogia is so wooden and bland. The story starts out fine, nothing new there but it gradually spirals downwards and makes less and less sense until the end. I don't know if they were hoping to get a second season but I'm convinced they had no idea where they would go from there on. Anyway, the premise of the first season wasn't bad but they either needed more episodes or less to make it better. Another thing they did was that they filmed scenes during the day but tried to make them look like they filmed them at night — I know it's done quite often in film and tv and most of the time it's fine but these scenes just look bad.
So, one could say that it's odd that I make a video about it if I didn't like it, but then again, I also made a video on Dracula, even though everything following the first episode was rubbish. And I'm wondering how many people actually watched Ghost Wars or were aware of its existence.
By the way, when I was writing the subtitles for this and looked up the cast / characters, I learnt that Meat Loaf is apparently in it. So there's that. Tells you also how memorable the characters and their names are that I had to look them up even though I'd watched the last episode the day before I was writing the subtitles.
