It was meant to be a simple story from the start: Toothless and Luna (the Light Fury) know their first-laid egg will be hatching soon. Toothless is concerned when he hears the first crackling sound but Luna reassures him.
After falling asleep by the nest, Toothless wakes up to find the first egg has hatched; His eldest son, Ruffrunner. Or, if I could have my own name for him, Eclipse.
