The backyard construction took place in green lawn Huntington long island New York. The Gappsi team designed and constructed the all backyard from. The customer was presented with a 3d pool studio design that incorporated the lagoon shaped swimming pool with a waterfall ,patio sitting walls ,fire pit walkways and stoops to the front a back yard sliding door. The swimming pool construction was of vinyl lined poured cement walls, with foam padded walls and steps. The swimming pool floor was constructed of cement to prevent any foot prints indentations. A separate pump was used to bring the water from the bottom drains to the top of the water fall. Selected moss rocks were installed as the waterfall shelf over the pool edge and flat moss rocks were installed for the water fall drops very selective plants material were planted to enhance the water fall natural effect. a special diving board was custom cut from a lime stone rock and placed over stone pedestals. the swimming pool coping was caped with Hanover 3 inches tan bland chapel wall caps, the swimming pool patio was paved with Italian travertine marble tumbled and honed pavers. The patio by the house is connected to the swimming pool patio by a dry laid stepping stone bluestone walkway. as you come out from the main sliding door on to the rear backyard patio, a stoop with wrap around step was built to allow access to the patio from every side with no need of a railing. Facing the sliding door an arched sitting wall is also the center of the patio incorporates a fire pit to the left is the table area and to the right a sitting area with comfortable couches and furniture. the stoop and sitting walls were built with Hanover tan bland walls and capped with Hanover chapel wall caps . The patio was paved with Italian travertine as the pool patio over recycled concrete base and 1 inch of fine sand.
