Chandrakant Jha gained notoriety as a serial killer who between 1998 and 2007, befriended, murdered, and dismembered 18 victims in Delhi. Although initially arrested for his first killing in 1998, he was released in 2002 due to insufficient evidence. Following his release, Jha resumed his gruesome spree, claiming more lives. Trivial disputes over matters such as theft or dietary preferences led Jha to strangle his victims.
