A new report from LiveCareer suggests the impact may be bigger than many employers realize, with nearly seven in ten women saying menopause symptoms affect their productivity, and almost all saying they feel pressure to hide what they’re going through at work. The topic has also been getting attention here in Quebec after Liberal MNA Jennifer Maccarone openly acknowledged having a hot flash during a committee hearing at the National Assembly, a moment that quickly went viral and drew praise for helping normalize the conversation. Career expert Dr. Jasmine Escalera, who helped author the report, spoke to Andrew Carter.
