Police deployed extra forces in Jerusalem Tuesday (6/4) to head off a Palestinian backlash over the shooting death overnight by police of Mohammed Salameh, a Palestinian who they say may have been preparing an anti-Israeli attack. Police said they were still investigating the intentions of the Palestinian and another who fled the shooting scene after the two led police on a high-speed chase in a stolen car through several army checkpoints heading north from Jerusalem. In another development, Palestinians in the West bank begun celebrating "Eid El Adha" the most imported feast in the Moslem calender. Palestinian President Yasser Arafat prayed at the West Bank town of Ramallah.
