Hey Guy Welcome back to my youtube channels I hope you guys are having an amazing day and i am back with a new video and in this video we are going to do a detailed comparison between the apple new a14 bionic chip and the apple a13 bionic chip
First of all lets have a look at the size of both these chips..So the a13 bionic was a 7nm chip with a square size of 98.5 mm and it packed around 8.5 billion transistors but on the other hand the a14 bionic is 5 nm chip with a square size of 100 mm and it packs around 11.8 billion transistors which means that we will see a 15% improvement in performance and around 25-30% improvement in power efficiency in the apple a14 bionic chip as compared to the a13 chipset
Now lets discuss about the cpu performance..So when the apple a13 was launched it didnt major changes in cpu cores rather the company improved the clock speed to improve the performance and result of that a13 chip was 20% ahead of its predecor a12 in terms of geekbench 5 ..However in A14 apple will be using a six cpu configuration and out of these six cpus 4 will efficency core and 2 will be performance core..Also the apple A14 will have clock speed of around 3.1 Ghz which 400 Mhz higher then its predecor A13 and according to experts with this six cpu configuration and improved clock speed the apple a14 bionic chip will hit 5000 points on the geekbench 5 multi core score/test which is absolutely insane because no other smartphone has crossed the 3300 points mark until this date
Now lets talk about the most important element and that is the gpu..First lets talk about the role of gpu..So Its a processor dedicated for graphics processing operations one of the main functions of the GPU is to lighten the load on the CPU especially when running graphics intensive applications like games or 3d graphics editing which means the better the gpu the better experience for the user
So both the apple a14 and the a13 have 4 core gpu solution..But one thing is for sure that the a14 will have an upper on the a13 because of the new and powerful gpu cores and according to some twitter leaks the apple a14 will have 50% improved gpu performance than its predecos apple a13
