Launch of the Indicators for Democratic Parliaments, November 2023

Описание: The Indicators for Democratic Parliaments are a tool for institutional development that offers a new approach to measuring parliamentary capacity and performance. They are designed to support an evidence-based “health check” of parliaments and to help them to identify weak points or areas for improvement. The launch event included a presentation of the purpose and content of the Indicators, as well as discussion of how they can be used to assess parliamentary capacity and performance.

The Indicators for Democratic Parliaments are a multi-partner initiative led by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in partnership with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Directorio Legislativo Foundation, INTER PARES/International IDEA, the National Democratic Institute, the United Nations Development Programme, UN Women and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy.
