What a difference a day makes. The first leg of my journey the previous day had been a relative breeze. The sun was shining and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. For the return leg, conditions couldn't have been more different. It rained for a solid sixteen hours and the boggy conditions were worse than ever. I even managed to get lost and do an unexpected loop, where i ended up back where I started. Not my finest moment!
It took all of my willpower to keep pressing on once back at the car and I finally ended up spending the night at the amazing Lluest Cwm Bach mountain bothy in The Elan Valley.
