The Free State government's termination of former premier Ace Magashule's former personal assistant Moroadi Cholota's bursary is at the centre of her cross-examination in the High Court in Bloemfontein. Magashule's lawyer Laurence Hodes conducted cross-examination. Hodes argued that the aim of terminating Cholota's bursary was to force her to return home. The trial within a trial follows Cholota's questioning of the jurisdiction of the court saying her extradition from the US was unlawful.
