Hallfield Estate, West London.
Quite interesting lifts here (for me anyway!) as most lifts have yet to be modernised.
Unlike most other estates, there are no security doors, all lifts are accessable.
These are (or were) all Express Lifts. Some are using relays and the Express mechanical floor selector (you can hear it from the motor room above).
The high rise buildings:
Seven buildings, 9 floors with two lifts. Strange thing is some of these buildings have 2 lifts serving all floors with separate call buttons (individual service), but others have 'odd' and 'even' lifts - one lift serves 'odd' floors and the other 'even' floors. Not sure why the buildings differ, unless they run out of doors (or money) during building and changed the design!?
The low rise buildings:
Seven buildings, 5 floors with a single lift.
The second lift in this video has to be my favourite. This is a single speed lift with a loud motor. You'll notice that the lift stops immediately when the lamp above the door is lit. This is because of a simple design - with only one switch in the shaft at each landing, it has to control the floor indicator as well as level the lift car on arrival at a floor.
This area is covered by Google Earth StreetView - Type "W2 6HG, London" into GoogleEarth to see the area!

FROM THE WEB, ABOUT THIS ESTATE:
The Hallfield Estate is a post-war housing estate, built on a 17 acre site originally laid out with brick and stucco terraces and villas, but which was cleared following war damage.
The estate was built between 1951-59 by the architectural practice Drake and Lasdun and comprises fifteen blocks and a primary school. It was designed as a deliberate contrast to the architectural fabric of 19th Century Bayswater and was intended as a radical model for the borough of Paddingtons post-war re-housing programme.
The ten and six storey blocks are laid out on a grid at 45 degrees to the surrounding roads. They are set in an attractive landscape setting, which includes chestnut, sycamore, mountain ash and mulberry trees and also magnolias and catalpas.
The Conservation Area was first designated in 1990 and extended in 1996.
