The rumors were true" the Sims 4 is getting a marketplace- where you can make purchases with fake currency.
echoing some of the strategies of the likely quite lucrative store from the Sims 3 store- now the sims 4store will include cc creator content for build buy and cas- and you can also purchase sims 4 kits. This appears to be a way to add microtransactions, though expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs can be bought with real money. No subscription will be required but this is apparently part of a multi year strategy for the sims. Free updates and the Sims 4 gallery will not be impacted.
