Quick comparison of the CPU speeds of my MacBook Pro and my Gaming PC just for a laugh using Cinebench.
Relevant MacBook Pro Specs:
Early 2015 13" MacBook Pro (Standard - no upgrades)
CPU: Intel Core i5-5257U 2 Cores 4 Threads @ 2.7GHz
RAM: 8GB 1867Mhz DDR3
Relevant PC specs:
Custom build gaming PC
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900X 12 Cores 24 Threads @ 4Ghz
RAM: 32GB 3200Mhz DDR4
Software used is Cinebench R20 for both Windows and MacOS

As you can see the Ryzen 3900X absolutely demolishes the i5 despite the MacBook being a perfectly usable day to day laptop. I knew it would beat it by a wide margin but this is an absolute massacre. Ryzens are awesome!
