Lusail Tram / Marina Promenade

Описание: As you might have guessed from the name, the tram service covers Lusail. Once fully operational, there will be four lines and 25 stations, with stops including North Fox Hills and Seef Promenade. Lusail Tram is inspired by the local Qatari heritage and its historical legacy, stated the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram on its social media.it wrote that the interior design of the stations was developed on three levels - colours imitating the local traditional handcrafted textiles and the stained glass used in local windows.the patterns are derived from gypsum engravings used in local houses, majlis and palaces. Textures of clay used in historical fortresses, towers, souqs are reflected on walls and floors and vintage geometrical ornaments are accentuated and used in multiple locations.

During the preview service, only the orange line is partially in service. Six stations are operational: Legtaifiya, Marina, Marina Promenade, Yacht Club, Esplanade and Energy City South.If you’re travelling on the Doha Metro, you can easily transfer to the Lusail Tram at Legtaifiya station.

You can also use the metroexpress service to and from the operational Lusail Tram stops. The free-to-use ride-sharing service connects nearby areas with the public transportation system, and you can book your seat in the branded Mercedes Vito vans on-demand through the metroexpress Doha app.

If you are travelling on both the tram and the metro in the same journey, you will be charged QR2 only. You can also buy a day pass for QR6.

Unlike the Doha Metro, the Lusail Tram does not have a goldclub.The Lusail Tram uses the same travel cards as the Doha Metro, but instead of tapping your card as you enter the station, you will need to use it onboard the tram itself as you enter and leave the vehicle.You can use the Lusail Tram during regular Doha Metro hours, between 6am and 11pm from Saturday to Wednesday; from 6am until midnight on Thursdays; and between 2pm and midnight on FridaysDuring operational hours, the Lusail Tram runs with an interval of 2 minutes between services.
