Set in a Wandoo woodland with views of the surrounding hillsides and a bird hide, Mt Observation makes an ideal picnic stop there is also a great spot if you are driving past to pull of the road and have a rest only a short distance in sutable for RV's and caravans just watch for low branches .
It is located 500 meters in from the great Southern Highway, east of Mundaring towards York. A wildlife hide is situated along the eastern walk trail. This is a great spot with plenty to do if you check out GPS walks you will find a number of hiking trails in the area. There is a drop toilet but no water. Remember to check local fire regulations before lighting up. the bird and wild life is great with kangaroos , Emus and the odd bush pig . Watch out for snakes especially in the summer months.
