After a dismal trip to a no prep event at Orlando, the unthinkable became my mission.
I found myself DRIVING my original paint, low mileage ‘79 Chevy Malibu 950 miles ONE WAY from Orlando back to Columbus Ohio.
Although the car retains power steering, brakes, and Air Conditioning, it’s still a mid 10 second 1/4 mile car naturally aspirated and a low 9 second capable car on Nitrous.
At 13:1 compression, with a .600” roller camshaft, the 421ci Carbureted Small Block Chevy is THIRSTY especially on e85!
So what would make me consider doing this? There’s definitely a reason, and it’s NOT GOOD!
