Serious Audio Bug in Final Cut Pro SOLVED! (No Sound in the Browser)

Ever since I updated to Final Cut Pro 11 I've been having an issue where certain audio clips won't play back from my browser. I can't hear them. I have to add them to the timeline in order to hear them. The only way I can hear them when playing back from the browser is to use the Stereo pan in the Audio pane of the Inspector window and pan the audio left or right. So I did some research and found out that this was a common bug with an easy - but strange - solution...
