According to Johnson & Shirley (American Dance bands on Record & Film 1915 – 1942), Chick Bullock was never a band leader, but his name appeared on countless records because he was the singer! They state that this record is actually by “Gene Kardos and his Orchestra.” Further, the personnel could comprise any of the following musicians:
Sammy Castin, Stanely Catner, Red Rosenberg (trumpet); Milt Shaw (trombone); Edison “Moe” Cohen, Jules Friedman (alto sax); Gene Kardos (alto sax, violin, leader); Paul Ricci (clarinet, alto sax); Gabe Galinas (tenor sax); Joel Shaw (piano); unknown guitar, brass bass; Sammy Weiss (drums); Bennie Green (arranger); and, of course, definitely Chick Bullock (vocal). New York, May 13, 1932.
