This video took me way longer to make than my other videos. See the description for Episode 1 which includes a lot of details I won't repeat here. All the Minions are AI generated using Wan 2.1 and 2.2, with my own voice recorded before using Replay voice converter (also used on a couple of lines for Picard and Worf).

There were 2 main reasons for Episode 2 taking a lot more time (apart from being a much longer video):
1. I had to splice together real and animated characters in many scenes. That's not something I've done before (although not dissimilar to the tricks I used in SeinTrek episodes). I spent more time on lighting than I usually do, especially for the night scenes (even the flicker of the fire on the Minions face). The scene at 1:31 with the 5-second transition from Minion to Picard rubbing sticks took me an entire day. I'm really happy with how that turned out. The scene with Picard picking up the banana also took a while to get working, thanks to the magic of VACE ControlNet (same trickery used for the Casual Friday videos) although the airborne banana I had to animate frame by frame.

2. I had to recreate entire sound stages. Everything from the fire crackle, wind, crickets at night, foot steps, background music, ship engine sounds, lasers, explosions, the banana hitting the ground, etc. that's all been layered, EQ'd and panned for immersion. One of the main reasons for spending so much time on the audio is that I had to remove the original music (thank you Davinci Resolve Voice Isolation) because that ruins continuity when you're splicing scenes, and when you isolate voices you kind of need to add everything else back in!
