In July and August 2023, I hiked 300 km through the Norwegian mountains. I started in Haukeliseter with an outside temperature of 5 degrees and rain. I headed up into the mountains and soon reached the high plateau of Hardangervidda. From there I trekked roughly north-east, without a destination. In the course of the trek, I hiked via Finse through Hallingskarvet National Park towards Jotunheimen. I reached the end of my tour one day before the heavy storms of this year at Bygdin, just south of Jotunheimen National Park. The weather was completely crazy during the three weeks I was on the road. It was unusually cold, there was still a lot of snow and rain and sun alternated every minute, which is why I spent a lot of time changing clothes. The terrain ranged from easy paths, knee-deep swamps and man-high boulders to old snowfields and dense bushes. A truly exciting tour with many fascinating places in the hostile environment of the Norwegian mountains. Just the way I love it!
