Earlier this year (2025), Nick retired from a hugely successful jump racing career and has now taken the exciting step of opening his very own training operation. In this video, I chat with Nick about his career as a jockey, why he chose to become a trainer, and what his hopes are for the future.

We head to the gallops to watch some of his new recruits in action, as Nick talks me through his training methods, daily routines, and long-term goals. You’ll also meet his assistant, Harrison, who shares why Nick is perfectly placed to succeed as a racehorse trainer and why he loves working with these incredible athletes.
