Here he describes the experimental protocols that distinguish remote viewing from other types of psychic tasks. He notes that while there are many approaches to remote viewing, ideally the protocols should remain constant. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).
