I've thought about this for a while and finally got to see if it worked. There’s a few bugs to work out but I was pretty happy with the result. I think in the future I’d just ditch the stand and set the oven part on some rocks. That way I could get in and adjust the coals, and that would also fix the slight melting problem... :-)
