The Hippo MPV is a forgotten leg in the development of the modern MRAP. Slow, clunky, top-heavy and as ugly as your self-deprecating humour, it paved the way for the most iconic vehicles on the modern battlefield. It relegated itself to the corner, allowing better, prettier models to take the limelight and protect troops in a way it only dreamed of being able to.
