At Tiruchirappalli, PM Modi inaugurated the foundation of Bharat Petroleum’s City Gas Distribution network, covering Nilgiris and Erode districts. With an investment of ₹3,700 crore, the network will supply piped natural gas to nearly 9 lakh families and hundreds of commercial establishments, enhancing ease of living.
