"SABUDANA VADA / SAGO PATTIES"
INGREDIENTS:
Sabudana / Sago (1.5 cups)
Potatoes (6-7 Medium sized)
Cumin (Jeera) Powder ( 2 tea spoon)
Coriander (Dhaniya) powder (2 tea spoon)
Sesame seeds (Til) (2 tea spoon)
Rock salt/ Regular salt/ Sendha namak
Sugar (1/2 table spoon)
Ginger Chilli paster (1/2 table spoon)
Curry leaves (8-7, chopped)
Peanuts (1/3rd cup)
Green Coriander (1/2 cup)
Lemon juice (1/2 table spoon)
Oil (to fry)
RECIPE:
Soak 1.5 cups of Sabudana/Sago in water in a bowl for 5 - 6 hours.
Drain out water and take Sabudana/Sago in a bowl.
Add 6-7 medium sized mashed potatoes.
Add 2 tea spoon of Cumin powder,
2 tea spoon of Coriander powder,
2 tea spoon of Sesame seeds/Til.
Add salt to taste (In case of fasting, you can opt adding Sendha namak).
Add 1/2 table spoon of sugar,
1/2 table spoon of Ginger Chilli paste,
Curry leaves (Chopped),
Roasted and coarsely grounded peanuts,
1/2 cup Chopped Green coriander,
1/2 table spoon Lemon juice.
MIX UP EVERYTHING UNTIL THE MIXTURE BINDS WELL.
Mould the mixture into Patties.
Heat up oil in a deep pan. Deep fry the patties on low flame until the colour turns golden brown.
Serve with Green chutney / Tomato ketchup. ✨
