Ogies gave us a clear and super interesting glimpse into the essence of the area. We saw numerous silos, indicating that farming plays a significant role in the local economy. Then, we encountered the coal industry. Trucks and trains transporting coal to the nearby Kendal Power Station. Seeing moving trains always excites us and this time was no different. Watching the massive heaps of coal and the conveyor belts constantly shifting it around was fascinating too, offering us a small insight into the complex process of keeping the lights on. The town itself was small but intriguing to drive through, making our visit to Ogies a truly eye-opening experience.
