Описание: In the Spring of 2001, WWII Veteran Carl Barnes (1921-2003) visited Mrs. Goodreau's History class, accompanied by USAF Veteran, Bob Alvis. Mr. Barnes shared an incredibly detailed first-hand account of air combat over Europe. Serving as the Flight Engineer and Top Turret Gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress, Mr. Barnes flew over 30 missions in 1944. His compelling stories of combat missions and being shot down over German-occupied France provide a rare account of the harrowing service of our US Army Air Corps veterans.
