Who Killed The Arcade Sports Game?

Описание: What happened to the arcade sports game? Well, I've been thinking about that on and off for a while, as I was a big fan of games like NFL Blitz, NBA Hangtime (part of the NBA Jam series), as well as NHL Hitz 2003 growing up just to name a few. I still love these games to this day. So in this video, I'll break down what I think happened to the genre and why we probably won't see a high profile arcade sports game anytime soon.

Note: Near the end of the video, when comparing arcade sports games to arcade racing games, I forgot to mention the Forza Horizon series as one of the few arcade racing franchises remaining. However, it's also open world so it's certainly not a traditional arcade racer. I still stand by my overall point about both genres not being all that prominent anymore.
