An attempt to create an autopilot that takes a plane on a parabolic flight, so that the pilot(s)/passengers experience weightlessness (zero G).
This maneuver is usually performed on special airplanes ("vomit comet"), where weightlessness can be achieved for ~25 seconds per arc.
The MFD tries to minimise vessel acceleration in all three axes (yaw - x, pitch - y, thrust - z), using a PID control system.
The PID is not properly tuned, so the result is somewhat unstable, but nevertheless achieves sub-0.05 G acceleration for up to 35 seconds (albeit going supersonic in the dive).
Right-hand MFD and autopilot by me (based on my Vessel Load MFD, found on Orbithangar).
Using the D3D9 client by jarmonik and Orbiter Sound by dansteph.
Simulator by Dr. Martin Schweiger (Orbiter Space Flight Simulator 2016).
