Julius Maximilian Kernbach is tackling the incurable nature of glioblastoma by overcoming the limitations of current neuroimaging techniques. He developed AI-enhanced MRI sequences to visualize malignant neuro-cancer crosstalk, providing a non-invasive biomarker for glioblastoma invasion. By leveraging AI to predict tumor growth, his approach enables personalized neurosurgical strategies, even before tumor recurrence, pioneering a new frontier in proactive and tailored brain cancer treatment.
