Hey Ya! is a great song for beginners, as it uses only simple open chords. It is a little bit fast, so keeping up with the strumming pattern can be a bit of a challenge if you're still in the early stages of learning. The one little odd thing about the song is the 2/4 bar which appears regularly. Try to count along and get a feel for how it fits in to the track before you start playing.
