The poor people, the plebians, who have mostly been ignored in the history books, made up the majority of the population. They were the faceless many, who ploughed the fields and worked in the shops. They also built the roads and some of the magnificent buildings that can still be seen today. Let’s travel back in time now and take a look at some of those people, the farmers, the peasants, and the slaves
