Описание: Hello! This is Shere Thu Thuy. People always ask me if I was the only female Vietnamese in the early 80s from 1986 to 1987 in America singing New Wave/Euro/Italo cover songs. I have to answer… No! There were other Vietnamese female singers in the early 80s singing all the same songs. However, If we are talking about who was the first female Vietnamese recording artist to create original New Wave music in the '80s?. To the best of my knowledge, with my 4 vinyl albums from 1986-1989. I have to answer yes, I seem to be the one. However, in this video, I'm doing cover songs for all those who are curious to know, if I also did the New Wave/Euro/Italo cover songs like my comrades. Just to note; It was a common practice for all music performers to do songs that were current and popular with the new sound back then. And the Vietnamese New Wave/Euro/Italo was a favorite, especially with the Vietnamese refugee communities. And they did all the cover songs and not new wave originals. To this very day, I am still producing original new wave music, which can be found here on my YouTube channel. BTW! This performance was a European tour, from England, China, Germany, Paris France, ETC. This is why today I have an international fan base. Love ya! ;-)
