In this PounderLabs video we deep dive on understanding cannelures. We explain the different types, how they’re used in center-fire rifle and handgun ammunition and reloads. We provide extensive examples for both bullets and cartridge cases. We discuss the importance of cannelures and crimping to prevent set-back and crimp-jump.
We showcase the Ultimate Cannelure Tool Model ll (UCT) and how it’s used to easily add cannelures to rifle and pistol bullet, as well as pistol cartridge cases.
We also touch on removing case cannelures in reloading and some pitfalls to be mindful about.
