Learn how to turn the legs, top, and sides of a $1 desk from the Dollar Tree into a sleek Shaker style hall table or desk with easy tapered legs. This table can easily be made from scratch.

Dimensions to make this tapered leg desk/table from scratch

Finished table is 2.5" tall, 4" long, 1.25" deep

top: 1.25" deep, 4" long, 3/16" thick

legs: 2.25" long, 3/16" square dowel

skirt boards: height of a popsicle stick, 3/8"
3.25" long

side pieces: 5/8" long

1 top, 4 legs, 2 long skirt boards (front & back), 2 side pieces. 9 pieces in total.

You can make the skirt boards by stacking two popsicle sticks together and cutting to the proper length
