✨ Ras Michael…

Born Michael George Henry in 1943 in Saint Mary, Jamaica,
he grew up within a Rastafari community,
where he did not learn music…

👉 he felt it

From a very young age, he connected to Nyabinghi drums,
the sacred language of the Rastafari movement,
the breath of the ancestors,
the living heartbeat of the earth

In the 1960s, he founded The Sons of Negus,
a unique group, not built for entertainment…
but for spiritual transmission

Ras Michael became one of the guardians of this tradition,
a bridge between the sacred and the modern world

He recorded at Studio One with Coxsone Dodd,
then at the legendary Black Ark with Lee “Scratch” Perry,
helping elevate reggae into a mystical dimension

In 1974, under the name Dadawah,
he revealed Peace and Love,
a simple… yet eternal message

He collaborated with legends such as
Peter Tosh, Robbie Shakespeare, Chinna Smith…
and took part in the legendary One Love Peace Concert
alongside Bob Marley and Jacob Miller

But Ras Michael never sought the spotlight…
