Instead, many citizens rely on other forms of collective transport to fulfill their transportation needs. There is a huge variety of such services in the Global South and they come in many shapes, sizes and names: Some examples include Philippine’s Jeepneys, Mexico City’s Peseros and Dar Es Salaam’s Dalla-Dallas.

Informal transportation plays a vital role in most of the developing world. TUMI was joined by Trufi Association for a webinar on 'Digital Solutions for Mapping Informal Transport', where we discussed the emergence of informal transport and how technologies can contribute to improving service quality, operations and societal benefits.
