Jesus College celebrated the graduation of 159 of its students on Thursday 29th July 2017, at a General Admission ceremony at Senate House. Elements of the ceremony echo some of the earliest customs of the University, dating back to the 13th century.
Before processing to the Senate House, Dr Geoff Parks, Senior Tutor, explained the origins and meaning of the ceremony to the students, accompanied by The Rev’d Dr Paul Dominiak, Praelector, who rehearsed the traditional movements of the graduation ceremony with them.
We extend our warm congratulations to our graduands and, in the words of the College motto, hope that their journeys may be successful, whatever the future holds for them.
