Описание: There is so much I could say about the two days I got to spend with Carrie and Billy during their elopement in the North Cascades. About the incredible views we had, the winding trails, the insane food that @mierecatering cooked for us; but so much that moved me during these two days was the words that were shared — both between Carrie & Billy and among their family members that got to share their elopement day with.

I think Billy's father summed up perfectly what was so special about these two days, and what, eventually turned into the running thread and inspiration for their film. That "their wedding takes place in the mountains that they love so much. The setting that represents not just their shared love of the outdoors but also the permanence and strength of their union, the excitement of the coming adventure trail, and of course the unpredictably and inevitability of the hills and valleys that lie ahead."

I think on the surface, elopements can look like just having beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos or doing something "unconventional," but they are most often so much more. For couples like Carrie and Billy, choosing to elope in the mountains meant getting to incorporate a foundational part of their relationship into the day that would begin their marriage. And not only that, but bringing their families to those same mountains to share a piece of that foundation with them.

It's my favorite part of my job as an elopement & wedding videographer that I get to preserve these promises & words that a new union is founded on. I hope you get to watch till the end and feel inspired by them as well.
