Описание: The Maniacal Cinephile plays the new video game HORSES, the psychological horror game that got put down by Steam and the Epic Games Store like a thoroughbred with a broken leg. HORSES is a first-person indie psychological horror game developed by Italian studio Santa Ragione. You play as Anselmo, a 20-year-old who takes a summer job on an eerie farm and the “horses” aren’t horses at all. The game uses that unsettling concept to explore oppression, power dynamics, and psychological dread over the course of about 3 hours of gameplay.

This isn’t jump scare horror. This is “sit back, slowly frown, and yell ‘…WHAT?!’ to yourself” kinda horror.

So saddle up, lock the barn door, and remember... if one of the horses wants to meet you behind the cemetery... don't do it.

You can still play it through alternative digital stores, but the story of HORSES has become as much about video game censorship and artistic freedom as it is about its own unsettling horror.
