I decided to do a Day in the Life style video because a few people had requested vlog-style content, but also because I am struggling more and more with the day-to-day stress of motherhood, and teetering on the edge of autistic burnout. Videos like these are a little bit easier to film and edit.
This is a peek into my life, the day after a meltdown. Please be kind in the comments as I am vulnerable right now. I am not showing this to elicit sympathy or pity or attention. I simply wanted to show how it's not just the big things that can wear us down, it's death by a thousand papercuts of sensory overload, lack of rest, lack of a good social network, not enough alone time, constant changes in routine, that over weeks and months can build up inside and there's no clear way out.
