Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host Brian Rodda were invited to cover the 37th College Television Awards hosted by the Television Academy Foundation at the Skirball Cultural Center recognizing excellence in student-produced video, digital and film work.

There were over 70 student nominees at this year’s gala waiting to hear if their project was selected by the blue ribbon volunteer judges (members of the Television Academy).

On hand to present awards to the winners were One Life to Live’s Corbin Bleu, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s Rachel Bloom, American Horror Story’s Matt Bomer, Deadbeat’s Cat Deeley, Rush Hour’s Aimee Garcia, Grey’s Anatomy’s Jason George, Arrow’s Colton Haynes, Hollywood Game Night’s Jane Lynch, Underground’s Chris Meloni, Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte, The Mindy Project’s Adam Pally, Once Upon a Time’s Lana Parrilla, The Grinder’s Fred Savage, Status Update producer Adam Shankman, Billions’ Maggie Siff and Scandal’s Bellamy Young.

About the College Television Awards
The College Television Awards is a national competition recognizing excellence in college student-produced video, digital and film work. Each year, hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide submit entries in a variety of categories. Winners are honored with a personalized trophy at the gala in Los Angeles, receive cash awards, industry recognition and the opportunity to network with top television executives. Entries are judged online by members of the Television Academy who are professionals working in each respective discipline. Viewing is restricted to competition judges and staff only.
