Breaking: High Drama In Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sabha Polls As Congress Candidate's Nomination Rejected

Описание: High drama unfolded over the Rajya Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh after the poll body rejected the nomination of the Congress candidate. The rejection was reportedly based on an undisclosed legal notice in the election affidavit. However, the Congress party maintains that there was no legal case or criminal record to declare, as the candidate had only received a show-cause notice which had not reached a cognizable stage in court. The Congress candidate alleged that the rejection is an attempt to manipulate the elections and subvert the democratic process, claiming the election body is compromised and acting in favour of the ruling party. The party further alleged that the ruling party attempted horse-trading by trying to shift Congress legislators to Bengaluru, but failed as the house remained united. In response to the nomination rejection, Congress members staged a late-night protest at the election commission office in Bhopal and are scheduled to meet with the election commission delegation the following day to present their arguments.
