In this video I cover what Vacuum Nukes are, Why you would want to use them and how to automate them in a way that prevents them from exploding.
I forgot to mention that one Vacuum Reactor Running at IV Voltage tier is enough to cool 4 Vacuum Reactors running MOX or Uranium Fuel rods. I would also Highly recommend backing up your world before testing these nukes, They can still explode.
Please keep in mind that I have build these reactors without containment. If your not comfortable without containment you can build containment around the reactors using something like warded glass or a warding focus from Thaumcraft.
Here is the math I use to calculate the uptime of a reactor running with the circuit I designed.
Run/Fuel Swap cycle runs for 52 seconds or 1040 ticks.
Coolant cycle runs for 8 seconds or 160 ticks.
Total runtime is 1200 ticks so 1040/1200*100 = 86%
Following this control circuit will result an uptime of 86%
1 Uranium Vac Nuke will produce approximately 37,496 Eu/t
1 MOX Vac Nuke will produce approximately 93,222 Eu/t
