America was bursting at the seems after World War II. We were buildings suburbs, skyscrapers, schools and roads to everywhere.
There was work if you wanted it and it paid well. Everything was looking up -- especially if you were a white male. But Civil Rights was beginning to be taken seriously, and soon women would be seeking their fair share too.
Optimism was the watch word, and we were on the go.
