Описание: Pipeline transportation of Petroleum, Petroleum Products and Natural Gas is proven economical and safe method. In India 100% of Petroleum, 70% of Petroleum Products and nearly 99% of Natural Gas (baring LNG by
tanker and CNG by cascades), being transported through pipelines. Indian pipeline infrastructure is a mix of old and new ones, e.g., Crude oil pipeline from Naharkatia to Barauni is more than 70 years old, Petroleum Product
pipeline Haldia- Barauni-Kanpur is more than 50 years old and Gas pipeline HVJ is more than 35-year-old.
Currently India has operative pipeline about 33,500 km and another 5000 Km is going to be added in next 5 years. On completion of MWP, the City Gas sector will have, steel pipeline 5.5 lac inch Km, 18,336 CNG Stations
and 12.64 Cr DPNG connections in next 5 to 7 years. LNG, the Gas supply support sector has 8 operating terminals with combined capacity of 52.7 MTPA and more terminals including enhancing the capacity of existing terminals will raise the capacity to 72 MTPA. The issue of ensuring integrity of pipeline, CGD and LNG systems is therefore of paramount importance. To bring uniformity in safety of the Hydrocarbon sector, has been one of the important functions of PNGRB and the notification of Regulations like, T4S, IMS and ERDMP by PNGRB, has brought much awaited awareness for pipeline, CGD system safety. A well-designed IMS program ensures that, “the Oil & Gas assets give a sustained and reliable performance throughout its life”. In practice, IMS, not only extends the life of existing assets, but also helps to prevent damage to assets, human lives and environment during construction, operation and maintenance.
To support IMS program, there are well-developed tools like, CP, ILI, Electronic surveillance, UT etc. However there still happen failures in the systems giving challenges but also opportunities to learn with well designed Root Cause Analysis. Resonance Energy is organizing a conference cum exhibition on 10th December 2025, where industry peers, will share their experience on the incidences and the lesson learnt therefrom. Also, the equipment and service providers will showcase their products and services to avert such incidences and combat the same if they do occur.
