The Tayside knot is a good laparoscopic knot that is used by laparoscopic surgeons to ligate tubular structures using multifilament suture material. the practice of this not is necessary. In this video, the Tayside knots correct configuration and method of tying this knot have been demonstrated. After experiencing 20 years of teaching laparoscopic surgery, we conclude that the acquisition of laparoscopic incorporeal suturing and knot tying techniques is dependent on practice rather than whether the surgeon is in training or not.
