Ezra was treated at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). He was receiving his weekly infusion of elaprase from 2017 to 2020. Ezra was diagnosed with hunter syndrome (mps2) when he was 3 years old and at the moment he's in a clinical trial in UCSF Children's Hospital Oakland to help for a new medicine that will pass the blood brain barrier. Elaprase was helping Ezra's body but wouldn't help his brain, so he was having some cognitive delays. This new medicine is showing great results and its going to help all the other boys with hunter syndrome. It will also help others with cognitive problems. Ezra will be done next week with his 6 months of receiving this new medicine and will return to LA. He will be getting home infusions.
