South East Cape: We Can't Go Any Further - Black Pepper Abroad Ep. 039

Well that isn't entirely true. In this episode Agnes, Sarge and I travel to Australia's most southern point. Any further and we would find ourselves in Antarctica (a place we would like to see someday...)

In this episode we find an amazing pet friendly camp ground at Cockle Creek. This spot is normally packed but being winter we didn't have many neighbours. The nights were cold followed by warm days which created lots of condensation in our van. A problem that plagued us throughout Tasmania. We did our best to do all our cooking and washing outside which helped to reduce the build up.

Hiking is a "must do" here. The famous Southwest Coastal track begins here, a very long and remote multi day track. If you're pressed for time the South Cape track (one of the 60 Great Short Walks in Tasmania) is well worth the hike and takes you to the most southern point of Australia. Now the only question you should be wondering, how warm IS that water??
